The High Wycombe Dahlia Society holds regular shows and promotes dahlias through the exchange of information and expertise. It has an active social events calendar and meets regularly. The society was founded in 1968.  .

Society Information

  • The society's social activities include:

    • Cheese and Wine followed by plant auction at sands Village Hall - Saturday 28th April - 7.30pm.

    • Fund raising plant stall at Booker Car Boot Sale, Limmer Lane - Monday 7th May.

    • Fish and Chip supper at Ian Butterfield's Nursery, Bourne End - Wednesday 15th August - 7.30pm.

    • Lecture - New Dahlia Varieties by Dave Spencer. Wednesday 21st November - R.A.F.A. Club, Totteridge Road - 8pm.

  • The society produces its own annual magazine called the 'Bodgers Bureau'.

  • Public admission to all shows is free. Shows are open to the public between 2pm and 4.30pm.

  • Visiting exhibitors who wish to use the society's vases should notify the show secretary in advance.

  • The society subscription fee is £5 a year.

  • The society is affiliated to the National Dahlia Society.
